1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register.
- Profile information: Job title, professional bio, and any other information you choose to add to your profile.
- Review content: Reviews submitted by third parties about you, including reviewer name, email, rating, and written feedback.
- Employer information: Company name, contact details, and billing information for employer accounts.
- Payment information: Billing details are collected and stored securely by Stripe. MyProRating does not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the MyProRating platform.
- Send transactional emails (account verification, review notifications, password resets).
- Process subscription payments via Stripe.
- Respond to support requests and inquiries.
- Improve and personalise the platform experience.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Review Visibility
By default, verified reviews on your profile are publicly visible to anyone with your portal link. You may set your profile to private at any time from your dashboard, which hides your reviews from public view. Review submission forms remain open regardless of your profile visibility setting.
4. Employer Sharing
If you choose to link your account to an employer, that employer will have access to your reviews and rating through their dashboard. You control this sharing setting and may revoke access at any time from your Employer tab in your dashboard.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and reviews will be permanently removed within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. billing records).
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Resend — Transactional email delivery.
- Google Fonts — Typography (no personal data shared).
7. Cookies
MyProRating uses session cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain application state. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.

9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All connections to the platform are encrypted via HTTPS.
10. Children's Privacy
MyProRating is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
